A Day With Elisha | Model Test Shoot

Oh my goodness, how is it already the 23rd of December? In two days time, it's Christmas! Can you tell that I'm excited? Yes, I'm very, very excited.Anyway, onto the serious stuff... A couple of weeks ago, Magdalena, the lovely booker from Gingersnap Models in Bristol, contacted me wondering if I had any free time to work with one of their newly signed girls, Elisha. One glance at her book, and I knew I needed to work with her! Isn't she one of the most beautiful girls you've ever seen?We set a date, and I picked Elisha up from Truro train station with a vague plan in mind of what I wanted to capture. Recently, I've worked on quite big production photoshoots, which involve weeks of planning (which I love, don't get me wrong!) but sometimes, it's just as nice to do a shoot with less of a strict plan in place. We put a couple of outfits together, Ione did Elisha's hair and make up, and I set up my studio. You may have seen my chat about this shoot over on my Instagram Story on the day of. In all honesty, this is me practicing and getting ready for the vlogs I'm going to start making in 2017. I'm quite nervous about making them, because talking to a camera is DEFINITELY not something that I'm used to doing... but I'll give it my best shot!Rather than get my lights out for the studio images, I made use of the huge windows that Tom and I have in our flat, and my god, I LOVE the results. I'm all about soft light, so the fact that I can produce images like the ones you see with absolutely no artificial lights makes me so happy. The only thing I need is a sunny day!Towards the end of the afternoon, we drove around the corner to Pendennis Point to get a few shots of Elisha on location. Pendennis Point is one of my favourite spots in Falmouth; it holds so many memories to me, and it's a place that I used to escape to during my University years when I felt like I needed to be alone. Not only that, I used it as a photoshoot location throughout Uni as well. The result though, was that I got a bit tired of using it as a shoot location, so I hadn't shot there with a model in a very long time. It's safe to say that I'm so pleased I went back there, because it still remains a favourite place to shoot... and it's right around the corner!

Anyway, enough of me rambling. I hope you love these images as much as I do. But most of all, I hope you have the most magical Christmas ever!
