With You Forever | Bridal Editorial Photography

I can't begin to tell you all how excited I have been to share these images. Shot in the middle of April, on what was still quite a cold afternoon, my first bridal editorial was probably the most fun I have ever had on a shoot, and I'm sure it won't be the last.

There's a lot of me in these images. Not literally, but figuratively. Funny enough, I've never been one to dream about "my wedding day." It was just never something which crossed my mind much. I have friends who have their entire days planned out, but me? I really have no idea. What I did always love whilst growing up was Disney princesses. Yes, I know, pretty much every girl was a fan of Disney princesses when she was growing up, but that doesn't make it any less inspiring.

When I got into photography, is was incredibly inspired by the fairy tale, fine art imagery that I saw floating around the internet. I loved it all, but a lot of it involved a lot of post processing and photoshopping, so I never really could be bothered (I keep my editing time to a minimum, as it's just not what I enjoy about photography), but the desire to create something a bit magical has always stuck with me. When I realised that bridal editorial was "a thing" (took me long enough), it finally felt like I might just be able to create that magical, fairy tale, beautiful imagery I'd always wanted.

Here is my first attempt at that. The best part about all of this? I really feel like my wish came true (yes, so very Disney of me!). I adore these images so, so, so much. They make me happy just looking at them. You can probably tell, because I really can't cut them down to a decent number; I'm sharing so many of them!

I couldn't have created these images without the amazing team on the day though. Ione was there with me (as she always is on my shoots) and you have to agree with me her hair and make up was flawless. Claire Headdon, a local, bespoke wedding designer, came along not only to help on the day, but also to lend me her dresses... Getting married soon? Cause if I was, I'd want a dress made by Claire! Leela was the model of every photographers dreams. She came all the way from Bristol the same morning, and left the same day, just to shoot with me. She smiled the WHOLE time. And my lovely friend Alex Barker kindly came along to lend a helping hand, but also to film behind the scenes! You can see that film at the bottom of this post. Hopefully it gives a bit more insight into what it's like on a shoot. Also a huge thank you to Marisa of "Flowers With M" for the beautiful bouquet, and Lancaster and Cornish for the ribbon around it! I'd also like to say thank you to The Wedding Community Blog for featuring these images on their website!

Will I be shooting more bridal editorials? Absolutely, 100% yes. In fact, I already have! But that's still under wraps. For now, I'm so very excited to finally have these images out in the world.
